Tony has been actively involved in both the sell-side and buy-side of the investment industry for nearly two decades. His extensive knowledge of technology, telecommunications and most major industry groups is the product of his roles as an equity analyst following the technology and telecommunications industries and as a portfolio manager where he was a general partner for five years with a major west coast hedge fund and also founder and general partner of his own Texas-based hedge fund, Astral Partners LP. On the sell-side for over six years, Tony was the covering analyst for over $350M of successful equity deals. Mr. Tristani was named a Wall Street Journal All-Star Analyst for 1995 and 1996 for stock picking ability and earnings estimate accuracy. Tony has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, and a Master of Business Administration from New York University. Tony received his CFA designation in 1992.
