Bob began his career as a trial lawyer at the U.S. Justice Department, and later became a partner at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy, where his practice focused on new financial products.
In the late ‘90s he left the law and founded a software and hardware technology venture that merged with a public company (VWPT) of which Bob became Chairman and CEO. He transitioned its business model from a desktop software publisher into an early leader in interactive media and advertising, setting the stage for its subsequent sale.
Bob joined the New York Angels in 2003 and has been an active investor and board member in numerous technology companies since then. With Jim Peet, he founded Tangent in 2004.
Bob currently serves on the boards of EULAV Asset Management and Jubak Asset Management (with combined assets of over $2 billion) as well as Angelsoft.net, the world’s leading platform for early stage equity investors. He is a frequent television guest and lecturer on technology trends and the economy, and is the author of the strategy book and blog Three Moves Ahead.
